Research published in the February issue of Archives of General Psychiatry discovered that people at extremely high risk of developing a psychosis were found to be less likely to develop psychotic disorders after just 12 weeks of taking omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil).

Research was led by Simon Moore, a senior lecturer in Violence and Society Research at Cardiff University in the U.K. investigating the factors that lead children to commit serious crimes. During his research he found that “kids with the worst problems tend to be impulsive risk takers and that these kids had terrible diets – breakfast was Coke and a bag of chips.
