Welcome back!
Two of the most popular prescription drugs for attention deficit disorder (ADD) are Ritalin and Adderall.
Ritalin (methylphenidate) is a cocaine-like prescription drug. It is a stimulant and considered a Schedule II controlled substance.
According to Federal Drug Classifications, Schedule II is listed as “the drug has a high potential for abuse and abuse of the drug may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence”.
Adderall is an amphetamine-like drug. It is addictive and also considered a Schedule II controlled substance. Permanent destruction of brain tissue is associated with this class of drugs.
Some of the possible side effects from both of these drugs include psychotic episodes, psychological dependence, nausea, insomnia, depressed mood, loss of appetite . . .and more.
